Kldcc is committed to help members to aim for excellence.
With this in mind many of our more experienced photographers are making themselves available as mentors.
This will have three aspects :-
1. To help members overcome the technical aspects of their photography, so that they become more familiar with their cameras and lighting – if possible this will be from one of our more experienced photographers who uses the same or similar kit to the member.
2. To help members to see the photographic opportunity in a particular environment / subject. Largely covered by our club experience days, members will go out with the aim of improving their work in a particular style e.g. street photography, buildings and architecture, nature etc etc. These trips will normally be led by a club member with experience in this particular subject area.
3. External Awards.
A number of our members have gained awards from the various photographic bodies e.g. RPS, EAF etc.
Our award winning photographers will run small groups to mentor you in all aspects of the award process. Based on their own experience they will help you to avoid the pitfalls and will advise you on producing work that is of the required levels of excellence.
Working with you in a nurturing and friendly environment they will encourage and push you to maximise your potential, so that you can add you name to our list of deserving award winners.
